I have been writing stories my entire life and I hold the strong belief that when honest conversation is started it can actually move people to take action…which is (basically) how I wound up in marketing.

With a background in print publishing (both as an editor and as a part of a startup publishing company AND because I’m a true technology junkie) I saw the web as a platform for the next wave of what I thought publishing should be.

So, a few years back, I started a little company dedicated to helping small businesses create a presence on the web.

Out of that came an intense interest in social media and the impact the web has on how we market our businesses, products and services in an ever-changing online environment. I got pretty good at dissecting what people needed and setting them up with marketing that worked.

So, today, I do marketing, branding, and web development. Marketing (in my opinion) pretty much runs the gamut what you use to build relationships, drive traffic, increase sales and provide a good return on investment. Our services include setting up and managing PPC campaigns, measuring ROI, market research and persona development, press releases, articles, SEO/SEM, kickin' design (I mean really, really cool stuff), web design, web development and generally thinking outside-the-box to come up with marketing activities and campaigns that are successful.

I can't take full credit though. There is a loose team of virtual goddesses (because right now all us Truly Twisted Marketing creatives happen to be women) who are brilliantly talented in design, photography and writing. We all come together, depending on the project, and work for your benefit. It's a simple concept that enables us to bring you the best of the best in talent and brain power. 

To say I have a lot of irons in the fire is an understatement. But I kind of like it that way.

I think my biggest goal is to reinvigorate business owners, executives, managers, employees, and entrepreneurs and empower people to free thinking in their professional lives - really twist up the old corporate way of thinking.

The Truly Twisted Marketing blog is my petrie dish, my internet science experiment, where I or anyone else that cares to share, can work out marketing ideas and issues and inspire anyone who reads to be fearless and reach for that next “big idea.”
